I have watched the In and of itself and I really felt a lot of emotions while watching the film,
First when Derek talks about the gun rullet game I did'nt know what it has to do with the visual illusions but It was interesting how that leaded the entire story to the end.
And in the film they did really good job combining and make the ineractivitly between the audience and the spleaker which is Derek by using a card tricks.
And I think I learned a lot of lessons from the reading Seeing is Forgetting the Name of the Thing One Sees and the film In and out of itself I think it both talked about what it takes and why we trick the audience.
I think It wantes to realize that there must a reason why we are trying to trick the audience. Because there are multiple times that I just want to creat an artwork just to look cool or just to look impressive and then I would put meaning after I finish the work. But this film and reading critiques about the trickery.
Being able and allowing others to realize what they are seeing and finding out about what thay are seeing and feeling and understanding thair toughts is the most important thing that I think the reading was trying to tell uss.
